SOURCE TO SEA CLEANUP 2026 Franklin County/Green River Cleanup September 26, 2026

Every year the Deerfield River Watershed Association, along with the Connecticut River Conservancy, sponsor a cleanup of the river systems in Franklin County.  However, the Deerfield River Watershed Association likes to put a primary focus on the Green River, a tributary to the Deerfield River.

Hundreds of volunteer adults, families, local government entities, and businesses will pitch in for a Saturday of river and watershed cleanup on September 26, 2026 at the Green River Swimming Area Green River Swimming Area 9am - 5pm, Nash’s Mill Road, Greenfield.

Wear long pants, long sleeves, & closed-toed shoes suitable for dirty, wet work.

Join us for an after-Cleanup party with lunch, live music, and more!

Note: The cleanup of the Green River is September 26, 2026, not on the September 19th Source to Sea Cleanup date.

Registration for DRWA’s Green River Cleanup Group will be posted soon.
