Agenda

Treasurer Update (Mark)- CD’s totalling $11,000 have rolled over and been renewed, earning 2% interest. Laura writes checks on Mark’s approval. DRWA discussed how much to use as a facilitation fee on grants. We could vote on each individual grant for overhead amount. Thinking around 2% of the grant but we will discuss and vote on each individual grant as it comes up. Mark and Robert will work on a proposal to be voted on via email.

Green River Clean Up (David)- On Oct. 5th meeting at the Greenfield Swimming Pool. Lane Construction and Kyle Norkowitz, tree cutter, will be teaming up to provide equipment and man power, mostly on Green River Road, also working on a bridge that is out of place on the Vermont/Massachusetts border. Problem sites on the middle islands. David will check in with Home Depot for more support. Next year the Clean Up will look into removing abandoned cars at MurphyPark. Looking for flat bottom boats, two or more to access in the river. Could appeal via newsletter, facebook, and the website.  Montague Soap Box Derby (coming up soon) shopping cart car available for use for promotion of the Clean Up, contact person will call Joah. Dunkin Donuts could be asked to be a sponsor since so many of their containers are part of the clean up trash, maybe create and promote a clean up advertisement with all these containers?

Meet Up (Joah)- Possible resource for DRWA to further promote hikes and events, Joah will look into it.
