DRWA Board Meeting – April 19, 2016

Meeting Agenda

In attendance: Ryan O’Donnell, Jim Perry, David Boles, Robert May, Dick Quinn, Brian Yellen (presiding, taking notes)

1) Mail

Letter from Brookfield summarizing the studies that they will do.

2) Review minutes

All in favor.

3) Citizen science workshop (Ryan)

April 9 in Brattleboro. Immidiate outcome – VT performance lab (partner with Marlboro College) doing a water quality and performance. Plans for programming.

4) Mohawk Trail Woodlands Partnership update (Jim)

-Jim passed out a document with a summary of recent ongoings. Main point according to Jim would be to attract federal dollars to support local initiatives. Development of local resources and markets for wood products. Towns would not have to fully buy in until after legislation is passed, but then risk losing out on $$$ coming in.

5) Greenfield tire dump (David)

-Green River Music Festival is July 8, 9, 10.

-Send David a logo document to put on the swimming signs.

-Tire dump attack on Colorado Ave in Greenfield is continuing.

-Also a new dump discovered on Conway Rd in Shelburne. Maybe we should attack it.

6) Member database procedures (Brian)

Laura introduced herself and detailed how she got involved in DRWA back in 2009.

A friend offered Laura a code to download MS OFFICE (and Access is part of it). She will try to attack it. Brian suggested calling Joah back in to review her procedures.

David offered to help with MailChimp via his friend Anita.

-Laura mentioned that we are signed up for Valley Gives. Brian will send an email via mailchimp

***Add a RAZOO button to the DRWA website.

-Robert gave an update on FERC ongoings. The FERC representative held Brookfield to the fire w/r to study reach. They will have to extend study reach down to the Number 4 Dam pool.

***How much is Quickbooks annual fee? Laura not sure if she wants new Quickbooks.
