The Deerfield River Watershed Association is an all volunteer non-profit that works to monitor and care for water quality, flora, fauna, trails, and more within the watershed. Current and past projects include:
- Monitoring Macroinvertebrates
- RiverFest! – an annual celebration of all things Deerfield River where we celebrate and educate about the many natural resources and area businesses in the watershed
- The annual cleanup on the Green River, a tributary that enters the Deerfield River in Greenfield.
- Maintenance of the Mahican-Mohawk Trail
- Water Quality Monitoring
